Tampa Bay Lightning

Emit the Electricity.

Everybody knows that the atmosphere surrounding playoff hockey is charged.

But in Tampa, it's literally electric.

I designed this spec campaign to get Lightning fans pumped for post-season hockey.

First comes the setup...then comes the punchline. Just like lightning and thunder, or a Tampa one-timer.

Experiential

Thunder Rolls Across The Bay

Feel like you are ready to storm the ice as you wait for the bus.

Distant Thunder Rolls In!

We want the crowd energized before they even reach their seats. A video screen shows the Lightning logo on the walls of the stairwells. When the Thunder makes noise, the logo bursts with electricity.

For Tampa Bay, Catching Lightning In a Bottle Is the Norm.

Your favorite Lightning players are now re-imagined as drink bottles. They dump'n'chase electrolytes- straight to your system.

Grab your favorite at the concession stand before the first face-off!

TECO Partnership- "Net" Metering

Net metering is when you produce more energy than is used and then sell the excess energy back to the power company.

Amelie Arena generates a whole bunch of power.

For every home win, TECO will donate money to a Tampa-based charity as payment for all of the fan-emitted electricity.

The exact amount can even be calculated and invoiced to the Lightning!

"Doc" Thunderbug

1.21 "Jigowatts" is a famous quote from Back to the Future.

In the movie, Doc Brown is flabbergasted at the amount of energy it takes to power his time-traveling DeLorean.

Too bad he wasn't in Tampa.

With crowds so electric, Thunderbug easily recreates the iconic movie scene atop his time-traveling Zamboni.

The scene to be parodied:

It's called a Division because it's divisive. Let's lean into it.

These urinal cakes are shaped like rival Atlantic teams' hockey pucks. They make the crackling sounds of electricity when used.
